The Bayside Surf Team Rides Again

Puerto Escondido, January 31, 2024 – Bayside Real Estate, the leading Mexico Broker, is thrilled to announce the re-signing of two incredible pro surfers and the signing of two new extraordinary pro surfers to the Bayside Surf Team.

In an enthusiastic celebration at Casa ZEE in Costa Cumana, Puerto Escondido, the Bayside team, alongside close family and friends from the surf community, gathered to welcome and celebrate the signing of these four exceptional surfers.

Bayside CEO Brent May, speaking at the event, expressed his enthusiasm for the continued collaboration with local elite surfers and outlined the importance of giving back to the community through sports sponsorship. He emphasized the selection process for athletes and acknowledged the impact of sports in teaching valuable life lessons.

Roger Ramirez, a seasoned pro surfer from Puerto Escondido, joyously re-signed at the age of 28, proudly representing Bayside Puerto Escondido from 2018 to 2024. With two semi-final appearances in big waves and a top-45 ranking in the World Cup, Roger expressed that being part of Bayside is akin to being a family member of the team. He’s excited to get back to the waves after some months off due to injury.

Maya Larripa, a 21-year-old pro surfer from Puerto Escondido, resigned with the Bayside family, showcasing her incredible technique and exceptional physical condition. Having started surfing at the age of 6 and competing since she was 10, Maya’s talents align perfectly with Bayside’s commitment to nurturing local talent.

At just 22 years old, Sebastian Williams has left an indelible mark on the landscape of professional surfing. His title as the Central American and Caribbean champion in 2023 and an impressive 9th place global ranking by the International Surfing Association underscore Williams’ formidable presence in the worldwide surfing arena.

Originating from Puerto Escondido, Nesher Diaz has swiftly become a standout in the surfing world. Achieving the title of National Sub Champion in his category at the age of 14 in 2020, he not only displayed his inherent talent but also revealed an unwavering dedication to the sport. Currently at just 16 years old, he holds the 35th position world-wide in the junior circuit. Diaz aspires to secure the title of Latin America Champion in 2024.

The signing celebration on January 30th marked the inclusion of Roger Ramirez, Maya Larripa, Seb Williams and Nesher Diaz into the team. Attendees enjoyed the event at Casa Zee, an opulent oceanfront villa featuring a pool, expansive sun deck, accommodating up to 20 guests, and located just a few steps from the beach. The management of Casa Zee falls under the expert care of Bayside Vacations.
