Pro Surfer Roger Ramirez Reaffirms Partnership with Bayside for the 2024 Season

Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca – January 31, 2024 – Bayside is excited to announce the renewed collaboration with the seasoned pro surfer, Roger Ramirez, for the upcoming 2024 Season. The signing ceremony took place on January 30th, 2024, at Casa Zee in Costa Cumana, Puerto Escondido.

At 28 years old, Roger Ramirez brings 19 years of surfing expertise to the Bayside Surf Team. Born and raised in Puerto Escondido, Roger’s love for surfing, especially the big waves of the Mexican Pipeline, reflects his deep connection with the ocean. His journey began alongside cousins, including the late Oscar Moncada, whose influential surfing style inspired Roger.

Having made semi-finals twice and ranked among the top 45 in the World Cup alongside the best big wave surfers globally, Roger is a testament to dedication and discipline. While he has surfed across the globe – from Indonesia to Baja California – Puerto Escondido remains his cherished home, with Zicatela being his favorite surf spot. After having sat out months in 2023, Ramirez is excited about training for the 2024 season to win in local and international tournaments. He is setting his sites on Hawaii this year and is happy to represent Bayside and to continue representing Mexico!

The signing celebration, hosted at Casa Zee, brought together the Bayside team, close family, and friends of the surf community. On January 30th, the signing celebration not only marked the official partnership with Roger Ramirez but also warmly welcomed Maya Larripa, Seb Williams and Nesher Diaz to the team. The gathering took place at Casa Zee, an exquisite oceanfront villa featuring a pool, a spacious sun deck, and accommodation for up to 20 guests.
