About Me

John Smeh was born in Toronto, but has spent more than half of his life living in Wasaga Beach, Canada.

John and his wife Michele, have travelled the world extensively. In spring of 2020, they came to Huatulco, Mexico, and knew immediately there was something special about the Oaxacan Coast. The pandemic gave them the time to search for their dream home and they very quickly fell in love with, and purchased in Puerto Escondido.

John started off his life’s journey as a Real Estate Broker in Ontario, then owning and operating a construction company for 17 years. For the last 9 years John has owned and operated a CrossFit gym. John has two wonderful children and a Mom of 87, who plan on visiting often.

When asked about his decision to join the Bayside team, John said, “My whole life has been in preparation for this opportunity – to assist other people in living their best life in Mexico!”
